This is Coach Kastor and I designed this workout specifically for building and developing the VO2 Max of intermediate and advanced distance runners. Having a higher VO2 Max will allow your body to train harder and develop a more efficient cardiovascular system. We use a similar workout to prep and develop the athletes on the Mammoth Track Club's Elite team in order to get them ready for the rigors of World Class competition.

This workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up of slow and easy running, then progresses into a series of 3 minute hard effort reps mixed with 90 seconds of easy running as the recovery interval and finally finishes with a 10 minute cool-down of slow running.

This workout is just over 50 minutes in length. The VO2 Max Booster 3 workout will prepare you well for the competitive season ahead.
